Off-Topic: My Weight Losing Journey

I’ve been working out for quite some time. However, like many gym bros, I was exclusively bulking and never trying to lose fat. This year, I finally decided to pull the trigger and start a cut, and the results have been quite satisfying.

This is how I looked before the cut:

This is after more than 9 weeks of dieting:

Instead of calorie counting, I simply followed a fixed diet. This worked surprisingly well for me. I barely felt hungry and didn’t have any food cravings. I maybe made an exception once a week and had a cheat meal.

This is a graph of my weight over time in kg:

Overall, I lost 8 kg over the course of 9 weeks. Around 2 kg is probably just water and glycogen. I didn’t notice any performance loss in the gym and therefore assume that I haven’t lost much muscle mass. That would mean I lost around 6 kg of fat in 9 weeks.

AI estimates my body fat percentage to be around 11%, which aligns with the BIA (bioelectrical impedance analysis) measurement I had a few weeks ago, when I weighed around 2 kg more than I do now. The machine estimated my body fat percentage at 12.9%.

The small plateau around day 53 happened during a short vacation, but it was totally worth it 😉

I’m very happy with the results. My next steps will be to mantain this weight or do a very lean bulk over the summer, and then, let’s see.
